How do you reignite the spark with a long-term partner?
Hi, my name is Todd Baratz. I'm a licensed mental health therapist and certified sex therapist. I'm here to answer questions submitted by you, the plusOne community.
The question is, how do you reignite the spark with the long-term partner?
Reigniting the spark in a long-term relationship can involve a combination of communication, effort, and creativity. Here's some strategies that might help.
Start communicating openly and honestly about what you want.
Work together to create goals for your sexual connection. Then come up with a strategy for how you're going to meet those goals.
Then you're going to have really commit to prioritizing sex, no matter how busy, how anxious or worried you're going to have to move it to the top of your list.
Lastly, many people have sexual challenges. This is totally normal. Make sure that each of you are able to spend time working on the relationship you have with your own sexuality as well.
