How does communication improve sex for everyone but especially for women?
Hi there. I'm Dr. Taylor Nolan. I'm a licensed psychotherapist and a certified sexologist, and I'm here to answer questions submitted by the plusOne community.
This question is, why does communication improve sex for everyone, but especially for women?
For women who have been historically and intentionally misinformed, uneducated, and silenced, when it comes to their anatomy and their sexual pleasure, communication before, during, and after can be really key to helping improve the likelihood that you'll have a pleasurable experience.
Communicating about sex before, during, and after for everyone helps lead to a more pleasurable experience because you're taking the guessing out as opposed to making assumptions or hoping that your partner's gonna pick up on your nonverbal body language.
Things are clear and things are direct. It also helps create a safer environment where the parties involved can feel more known, understood, and valued.
I hope that this was helpful and be sure to follow along to see what questions I answer next.
