How do you talk to your partner about introducing devices in the bedroom?
Hi, I'm Danielle Bezalel, founder of Sex Ed with DB with a Master of Public Health. I'm here to answer questions submitted by the plusOne community.
Here's the question. How do you talk to your partner about introducing devices in the bedroom?
Starting off a conversation with a partner with affirmations can be super helpful. For example, I love the sex life that we have and the pleasure that you give me. Then you can share that you're excited about trying something new and that you're particularly excited about trying it out with your partner.
After that, asking a question to see what they think could be really helpful. Like if you say, the new thing I'd love to try is a new sex toy or accessory, what do you think about that?
Depending on your dynamic, you can say something along the lines of, I really want you to use this toy on me in this way.
Your partner should see the toy or accessory as a teammate and not as competition. If they have trouble with it, try reminding them that this is adding something to your sex life and adding to a great experience in the bedroom.
