Is there a way to prepare for perimenopause?
Hi, I am Dr. Somi Javaid. I'm a board certified OBGYN, a specialist of both menopause and sexual health. And I am a member of the plusOne Collective. And I'm here to answer questions from our community.
What can I do in perimenopause to prepare, and what to expect?
Perimenopause and menopause are sister diagnoses. The only difference is that perimenopause, there is still some bleeding. It may not be regular, but there is some bleeding. But you can have all of the same symptoms, hot flashes, vaginal dryness, frozen shoulder weight gain, uh, anxiety, depression. All of those things can bother you in perimenopause. And perimenopause can start as early as 10 years before menopause.
