Is it safe to use devices during your period?
Hi, I'm Danielle Bezalel, founder of Sex Ed with DB with a Master of Public Health. I'm here to answer questions submitted by the plusOne community.
Here's the question. Is it safe to use devices during your period?
Yes, it is absolutely safe to use sex toys during your period. You may want to put a towel down underneath you before you engage in masturbation or sex with a partner while you're on your period.
As long as you're okay with blood touching other body parts and maybe getting a little messy, go for it.
An important reminder, wash your toys thoroughly before and after every use. Also, make sure your toys properly stored when you put it away.
