How do you discuss with your partner changes in sexual desire?
Hi, my name is Todd Baratz. I'm a licensed mental health therapist and certified sex therapist. I'm here to answer questions submitted by you, the plusOne community.
The question is, how do you discuss with your partner changes in sexual desires?
It's normal for everyone to experience ongoing change in sexual desire, especially if you've been in a relationship for a while.
All couples are going to experience changes in desire. Problems arise when people ignore this. So talk about sexual desire and potential changes from the very beginning.
And if talking about sex is new, what a great opportunity to start. You can do so by saying something like, I've noticed that we've been having less sex lately. Can we talk about it? Be brave and get the conversation rolling.
